JRSimulator
JRSimulator is the Autonomous Underwater Vehicles Simulator developed for the CO3-AUV’s project, done at the Jacobs Robotics Group in the first half of 2010. The system was developed using open-source libraries such as Ogre3D (graphics engine) and Bullet (physics engine). It is divided into multiple modules that can be ran on separate cores on the same computer or separate systems on the network and it implements the standard USARSim network interface for interacting with the robots from outside the simulator.
JRSimulator is innovative due to its exponentially better performance against current state-of-the-art robotics simulators in terms of real-time range sensing and physics simulation capababilities.
Part of the Cooperative Cognitive Control for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (Co3-AUVs) project.

//// A lot of improvements have been done in the meanwhile (even the name of the application has been changed). This page will soon be updated with new impressive pictures and videos.
